
A scenic mix of rural and city routes, TROIKA begins in the waters of Medical Lake's Waterfront Park, 13 miles west of Spokane (bus transportation to race start is available from Red Lion at the Park.) Bicycles depart from Medical Lake on a course of flat terrain and rolling hills. The bicycle leg finishes in downtown Spokane at Riverfront Park. The out and back run course follows the Centennial Trail, over mostly flat terrain, finishing at the Forestry Pavilion in Riverfront Park.

1.2 MILE SWIM
The 1.2 mile swim is a loop in the usually calm waters of Medical Lake.
Start times -7:00a.m. (Depending on number of participants, wave starts may be required.)
Medical Lake's water temperature varies in August, but averages about 70 degrees.
56 MILE BIKE
Beginning at Medical Lake's Waterfront Park, the course winds south on Salnave Rd. to the turn around near Granite Lake Rd., then back on the east side of Clear Lake through Medical Lake on to Espanola Rd. to Highway 2. Two miles west on the Highway, at Coulee Hite Rd., the course turns north, then east and takes you to Seven Mile and Riverside State Park, finishing in Riverfront Park.
Bike cutoff is 5 hours from race start time.

13.1 MILE RUN
Runners leave the Riverfront Park Carousel traveling east on the Centennial Trail along the Spokane River, crossing the river on the Kardong Footbridge behind Gonzaga University. The Hamilton street foot overpass takes runners to Mission Street and the north bank of the Spokane River. The course continues on Upriver Drive to the turn around point at 6.55 miles. "Lively" aid stations with water, sports drink, and fruit are located throughout the course. The run course closes 8 hours from race start time., 3:00p.m., unless wave starts are necessary.
